If you just can't imagine working out without the accompaniment of energizing music, check out Cardio Barre. Billed as "L.A.'s Hottest New Exercise Class", Cardio Barre is a high energy, fast paced exercise class done at a ballet barre. The brainchild of Richard Giorla, a New York choreographer and dancer for 20 years, Cardio Barre combines weight training, flexibility, and cardio moves in a no-impact one hour session performed to invigorating music.
"This is the perfect way to maximize results. My philosophy of elongation of the muscles combined with fat-burning in movements that are no-impact is completely new. There's nothing else like it," says Richard Giorla, who opened Cardio Barre two years ago and has watched it continue to gain popularity. "Working at a barre provides more control. Students are not flailing around. It's fast and fun. People really have a good time."
Fans flock to Cardio Barre in search of the long, lean look of dancers. Giorla combined his knowledge of dance, choreography and body building into creating routines that get results. Ballet and dancer based, the movements stress balance and coordination, learning to work over the body's center. The exercises lengthen and strengthen muscles while burning fat.
"Who doesn't want the grace, the posture and fitness that dancers have?" Giorla asks. "At Cardio Barre, that's what you'll get. And you'll have a lot of fun in the process."
Cardio Barre is at 12530 Riverside Drive in Studio City. Visit www.cardiobarre.com or phone (818) 761-4542 for additional information. |
